walking by jung

This work is a production still from my video installation 'sometimes i have dreams too...' shot in Budapest and analyzes two stereotypical dreams of suicide and success. This piece references Jung's concept of a collective unconscious. As the protagonist is walking in his dream, he passes people behaving under a communal code which he no longer relates to. Hence, the imagery is in his point of view and is partially whited out with the faces of passerbys taped over. It consists of a large format C-type photograph of the cobblestone tourist ridden path next to the Danube, then layers of acrylic, spray paint and tape.
