My compositions deal with the problem of forces in tension in "groups of figures," which study and rework referring to works of the great painters: Rembrandt, Tintoretto, Pontormo, Caravaggio. My first approach to the work is doing an empathetic synthesis of some details of the entire opera of the "past" and the best way to implement it is the technique of watercolour or gouache. At this stage the main idea is that of a "dematerialization" of the figure, a kind of elimination of all "superfluous" to allow those glimpses, which I perceive energy and tension between the bodies and / or the environment. This "synthesis" turns out to be the outline or the work itself. The works presented come from a study of the Deposition by Pontormo.
