Analogue Photography, Human figure, Analogue, 126x100cm
The fog that cloaks the real work of a veil of dreamy Giampiero Marcocci. The author denies the alleged immediacy of photography to do regress to a kind of archeology of the time photography. He submits his models with long shutter speeds that generate necessarily the effects of splitting. His images are indebted to Margaret Cameron of Pictorialism, of which the photographer has an admirer, but watching them carefully, his portraits are covered with the sacred character of Tarkovsky or existential enigmas expressed by Kieslowski. His women are transformed into presence originated from the night, while standing out on their faces the tension of a feverish journey of redemption to the absolute, the sacred, in the representation of Marcocci, is a tool that guides the spiritual seeking a safe haven to dwellings being.
