3rd Treatment
The title refers to the chemotherapy session for breat cancer that follows complete hair loss, usually around day 17, after the first two treaments. I wanted the painting to lack any specific attitude - such as anger or terror - that might automatically be imagined with a cancer diagnosis and this stripping away of vanity and shields. I
"3rd Treatment" isn’t intended to shock, but to try to shed some light on this usually hidden reality through responses that are visceral and immediate.
