De fragmentation
"I realize to be nothing else but the sum of my subtractions. The days that, even if past, talk to me softly in the morning."
About memory and about the man-computer connection
Defragmentation is an informatics process that reduces the amount of fragmentation in file systems. It does this by physically organizing the contents of the mass storage device to store files in a contiguos region, area of the computer.
Here is the trial to show how this process could be applied to man in a surreal, visionary representation: to make files (filum = threads), emerge from a memory archive, a mass storage, a physical and emotional past, to concatenate the memories stored in separate locations. In this way you could organize them in folders on an imaginary desktop, and make them always easily reachable. The best way to organize memories not to lose them and not to occupy too much space in your mind system.
