The performance collect the words which the inhabits of a particular place use to verbalize their own lived. The gathered words are those gift by users with the idea to share their use. The goal of the project is to socialize personal words through A Dictionary (work in progress).
I adapt the performance at every new context of action.
The first intervention toke place at Zooart 2001, Giardini Fresia, Cuneo
For this occasion, I interpreted two XIX cent. practices: analysis and tattoo making.
I transformed one of the garden's bench in a studio looking like Freud's one in London. In this both intimate and public space, I led the user in the research of one or more words characterized by an act of affection and invention. At the end of the process, I tattooed on paper the word to gift it back to the user as a trace of our interaction.
The video documents the setting up of the performing space. The audio is the trace of the exchange that brought to the definition of one of A Dictionary's words: sbûrbi.
The next intervention -that will take place at Via Padova, Milan- will generate a polyglot Dictionary chapter.
