Biography

Born 1955 in Zürich, lives and works in Geneva,
artist, critic, curator, publisher, from 2004 to 2009 professor for theorie and history of photography at HEAD, Geneva; since 2002 professor at HEART Perpignan; essays on Balthasar Burkhard, Michel François, Anton Henning, Peter Piller, Marco Poloni, Orlan, Bruno Serralongue, Jules Spinatsch, Elaine Sturtevant, Angel Vergara, Jeff Wall; since 2001 director of the Centre de la photographie Genève, where he curated over 70 soloshows, most recently exhibitions like THE REVENGE OF THE PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIV 2010, fALSEfAKES 2013 ; at C.R.A.C. Sète (France) OPEN FRAME I & II together with Noelle Tissier in 2011 ; SEGUE-SE VER O QUE QUISESSE at Palacio das Artes and CACF in Belo Horizonte 2012 and at Centre d’art Contemporain Walter Benjamin in Perpignan L’ANGE DE L’HISTOIRE together with Jordi Vidal in 2014.
