The Aphrodite PRIZE 2013 aims to describe images to the processes of transposition of emotions in colors, signs, shapes, frames, metaphors, allegories, symbols and archetypes which establish the alchemical marriage between INTIMACY AND PERCEPTION.
The theme of the Third Edition is the "HEART ALCHEMICAL", understood as the process of integration of sensations, emotions and feelings (particular individual, transpersonal and universal) in the perceptual frameworks adopted by the artists during operations transposition of inner experience in image .
The works of 72 artists selected by the curators will be divided into three categories Art alchemical Nigredo phase, Rubedo phase and Albedo phase. Each category is made up of 24 contestants divided into three additional areas of expertise, so that each participant to the premium only competes with seven other artists of his section.
Images of the works will be included in the catalog created inside the magazine EIKON as in the two previous editions. The catalog will be sent to the jury composed of experts in Jungian psychology. The jury will award nine artists, three for each category.
The winning works will be published in the book "The Art of Aphrodite," in which the artists will share royalties from the sale of the volume in bookstores.
All artists will receive 7 copies of the catalog (value 70 €), a book of Renaissance Alchemical Art (value € 30) and, for those interested, one or more pages of the journal review EIKON discounted registration fee (see price list) , or a review in homage made by the editors to be published by 30 December 2013.

Send the image of 'work to be presented in the appropriate format for printing at: info@federcritici.org. Just in case the editors DEEMED the work relevant to the themes of the competition, complete enrollment within 15 days in order to enter the shortlist of 72 finalists.
The deadline for entries is 21 June 2013. The catalog published in EIKON 25 comes out Nov. 30, 2012.
