In the exhibition 'Invisibles Exhibition', held at the University of Alicante in southern Spain, organised by Decides-T (LGBT association - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) a Barbie Trans is presented. The artist Andrea Cano and the photographer Manuel Antonio Velandia said they have chosen Barbies because they represent "unlikely women with 40 cm waistes and breast size 110." Velandia says: "We want to create perverse and sexual Barbies, with transgender bodies, bodies that are made-invisible by people who deny the existence of such people: this is not because they are real strangers but because we refuse to accept diversity."
