The OPERA and EXHIBITION. The curator Octavia Villani presents the artist Patrizia Diamante with his work "Still life: never still life, indeed, still alive! 2016" [100X80 cm, oil painting on canvas and wood] "In 1986, the Academy started this oil painting, which for various reasons ended up abandoned in a garage. Resumed in 2016, I played on formal and informal: a gray backdrop becomes a dedication to master Jackson Pollock, from which derives the "Informal Anarchist". The sketches spanning the picture in a free frame were then prepared, because the painting is a work still in progress, and so any correction, addition, change of direction, divertissement, note, quote, and even become part of the frame integral, changing the object in the project. " These are the words of the artist about this work, created specifically for the exhibition HERE & NOW. Starting with a simple still life, Patrizia Diamante wanted to follow in the footsteps of the most contemporary artistic movements, coming out of the canvas limits to experience new areas and gain access to the art of "here and now". In the panels that surround the work we can find the sign of Pollock, Rotella, Mondrian, but also important art forms of this last century, such as the use of photography and the game. He never in a closed space, never finished, never "framed," was able to give life more than ever in a still life, which in fact, dead no longer is. On days 27 and 28 January into MuseOrfeo, via Orfeo 24, Bologna.
