NATIONAL CULTURE AWARD MONTEFELTRO 2017
On Sunday, October 8th, in the complex of the Montefiorentino convent was held the celebration of the XXVI edition of the National Cultural Award - Montefeltro. The aim of the Prize is to promote the cultural, environmental and socio-economic commitment of the "small Italie" and in particular to support the beauty of Montefeltro.
For the "Environment" section by the Interregional Park of Sasso Simone and Simoncello: Giuseppe Antoci, President of the Regional Park Authority of Nebrodi was awarded the prize by the President of Interregional Park Guido Salucci.
The motivation of the Prize
For marrying the protection of the environment with the defense of legality. Interpreter of a model of concrete government, example of courage and determination. The path of legality undertaken by the President of the Nebrodi Regional Park has become the heritage of the entire nation. A rare testimony to civil engagement, attracting the government of a regional protected area has managed to infuse hope for a better future of our country.
The prize
The awards ceremony is a sculpture entitled "Old Beech" specially designed for the occasion by the sculptor Andrea da Montefeltro. The work, entirely created with the Montefeltro stone from the province of Rimini, is part of a Nanoled led lighting division.

"Old Beech"
We are gathered under the Great Ancient, which joins the air, the dew and the earth.
An Old Book with its branches sows life, and its roots pick it up.
A generating spiral that directs the creating Light and the green of every living essence waiting for them.
The ancient knowledge in its pages, and a city, and far from it the island of the trident. The Sun is the primal force that moves the Trinacria with its legs, and moves the Montefeltro from its summit.
Two places joined by the ancient force of Light.
A city devoted to the Sun and an ancient spiraling motorcycle spends on it and with its rays it brings order.
