Despite his young age, has not even thirty years , Art Missy , aka Roberta Vernaglia , has to its credit various exhibitions, not only in Italy , which have highlighted his talent to create gothic atmosphere fades .
" I graduated in photography at the Institute Bodoni ," says the artist, " many now believe , thanks to digital to be professional photographers , but I can say that I have really studied , starting from the darkroom , to get to the press and to the development . I got this call from a young girl, and after graduating as a photographer I won a scholarship to the Master of the Talents , where I was for three months in France in Grenoble and I could do my first show . "
The first of many , as Art Missy has exhibited in Turin , in particular MIAAO in an exhibition on Gothic art , in Milan, Trieste , at London's St Pancras Crypt . The time now is committed until the end of January in Bologna , Orpheus at the Museum , in the historic center , in a parallel initiative to Art Fair , but it certainly will not stop there.
" I continue to work on my projects , now I have one in dance which is called Project Polaroid , starting from the historic Polaroid pictures that enrich fades and transparencies . I want to say that I do not use Photoshop , I do everything with tripod and long term. Then take part in the survey Cuneo Gothic MIAAO and I have in mind a project on the twins , "recalls Missy Art .
Missy Art is not just about photography is a Red Cross volunteer , loves animals very much , she loves the cinema, his love again prior to photography ( I would have loved to become camerawoman ) , practice some sports and loves to travel .
Returning to his art and to his choice of topics dealing Gothic Art Missy has no doubts: " These are things that have always fascinated me , and they are things that I personally believe there are appearances and events that we can not explain . I believe that beyond this , however, is important for every artist to have his own stamp that distinguishes it , and I chose these atmospheres and fades . "
With regard to the difficulties that can meet an artist of any kind in our country today , Art Missy says clearly : " As for my industry , photography , digital technology has led to a lowering of prices and quality. In general , an artist from us or have the money and knowledge, or must be supported by someone or have another job that let him give him time and money to invest in art . But I'll try . "
