The book "Panacea. Beyond the abyss" was released, a self-published project, composed of poems written by Davide Uria and illustrations made by Mariateresa Quercia.
The text was born from the desire to try to tell, through drawings and words, everyday life, moods, fears and anxieties experienced in the days of the Coronavirus. An event that has changed the lives of all human beings, making them aware of their vulnerability and also of their precariousness.
The poems and images, contained in this book, are the reflection of this situation: the hours that do not pass, the gagged people, no one chatting, embracing each other, no handshakes, no silences. But they are also verses and illustrations of hope, which look beyond this complicated moment, beyond the abyss, in fact.

The title of the project refers to Panacea, a character from Greek mythology, goddess and personification of "universal and omnipotent healing". In fact, it was said that Panacea had a potion with which it could cure all the sick. The word is used today to indicate something that can solve a very complicated problem.
