Arcimboldo, the RestaurArt where food and art meet themselves
28 April 2015
"When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, That's amore..." So does the chorus of a popular song sung in 1952 by Dean Martin titled "That's amore".

And by love between art and food less than a week ago has opened in the heart of Bologna - at 34 of Galliera street - the RestaurArt "Arcimboldo". The idea of a young girl, Federica Fava, graduated in conservation of cultural heritage and an imaginative chef, Daniele Meli, to join their biggest passions. They feature a perfect combination of tastes and smells typical Bolognese cuisine, to which is add a refined touch and great care in choosing the names of various dishes: from here comes the synesthetic sensations that invite the diners to descend into the lower Hall, used as a gallery.

This is furnished with care and equipped with all technological media for an exhibit, along with a glass of good wine recommended by industry experts, offers the choice of a second delightful evening not only for pupils buds, but also visually, thanks to new artists who will take turns each month. Fresh and clean artists with color balance, as their products rigorously Made in Italy.

The artists this month proposed by RestaurArt are Monica Serra, Armando Montalto, Maurizio Carpanelli and Silvia Verni. These four artists tell each with its own contamination the thousand forms that food offers us in life, focussing in particular on the issues of color, passion, experimentation and food as a source of vital sustenance for our body.

The Arcimboldo launches a new challenge to the various locals who flock to Bologna. In fact, like a good dj is able to bring back to the forefront with vintage pieces of Mash-ups, now the new frontier forces never tried contamination to culinary and artistic level and the Arcimboldo was born of this new avantgarde. I invite all of you to try this new reality, to be yourself an example of vanguard for the new society, because the art and food are the substance of which we are made.

Satisfaction and congratulations go to Federica Fava also by Mr. Eugenio Santoro, owner of MuseOrfeo Home Gallery that, besides having infused in Federica the passion for curating thanks to his Workshop for Curators of art exhibitions, has been able to advise her better in the first choice of artists.

If fresh out from the local you'll hear "Bells will ring ting-a-ling-a-ling, ting-a-ling-a-ling",
and you'll sing "Vita bella",don't you worry: "That's amore" and, I add, in good taste.
