As for my latest work ... Life is pain, sickness and death ... Only by accepting this will we appreciate life. Nothing daunting about this ... But is it a problem if I'm tired of a world that lies to us with the prospect of eternal beauty and health? It's all a lie. An illusion that obliges us to spend money and time in pursuit of what is impossible. It is a mass distraction ... And in the meantime we are no longer human beings, but dull and increasingly ignorant consumers. We go to school, we think we are educated, but in the end we ignore the true values of life. A heartless culture is a useless culture. Look around and you will agree with me.By Patrick. Have a nice day.
I take your point about living in the world of fiction...and admire you for using your own injury for making your point on this..but I am conflicted about these values
I think that anyone who does not make peace with his mortality is perverse. But living in the world of fiction, seeing something that to the truth of our fragility and mortality, arouse disgust and censorship ... And this is, for me, real perversion ...

Hello.Clicking on the link does not open anything? If I can get the video I load that directly ... But they are already works that are already on the site. It was the initiative to project them in a Palladian villa in Vicenza (Villa Valmarana ai Nani) frescoed by Tiepolo ... and in combination with works by other contemporary artists. The past-present dialogue was really exciting
yo Patrick - it might just be a question of how much change is coming or has happened already...

yo Patrick - have been busy setting up online shopping - left a comment on the artwork about you realizing you were too pessimistic -

Patrick, thank you very much for what you wrote. . Artists often pursue "the chimera" of perfection at all costs. . . But the artists are not photographers (although, on the other hand, there are many artist photographers...). The birth of photography has "freed" the artists from the "duty" to reproduce the world as it appears. . .
I believe that now the artists are free to represent the world for how they "feel" it within themselves, freeing them from the obsession with "stylistic perfection" at any cost.
A very, very big thank you Patrick! :))
Your comment is very true, It is also a feeling I get when I walk in the countryside around my village.
That's what I want to capture with the photos...
Have a nice weekend.

my best regards for you,
Thank you, Patrick. Reticulation is a new word for me, but exactly what I was hoping to achieve : )
The trees in the foreground are actually beech, which resembles poplar.

Ha ha, Patrick, I had not wandered far enough down the path to recognize the willow tree that has been placed there. How right you are. Thanks for noticing. BTW> this is a relevant topic, since I recently planted a living fence, using salix viminalis. http://thistledown.org.uk/plant-willow-fedge/
Hello Patrick, Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. I am glad you took the time to listen to the song, and honored that you see similarities. Namaste.
Hi Patrick,
your precisely made artworks are fascinating due to the combination of flat and three-dimensional components and because of their philosophic references.
Thank you for viewing my pictures and for the comment on my "Underground Reservoir".
Sincerely,
Philipp
