Jarach Gallery is pleased to present a new exhibition entitled "100th Window", in which we deal with the theme of the window as a metaphor of the eye and the photo framing of a visible reality’s portion. We are not in front of a simple act of voyeurism, but of an actual perceptual threshold that connects yourself to the outside world, a special contact that makes you think about the possibility of invading the privacy of others.
An invasion to which we are accustomed in the era of the Internet, and this is precisely the thesis of the computer expert Charles Jennings "The hundredth Window", a book to which title the exhibition is inspired.
We aren’t the only ones who look at the artwork, but it itself is looking at us and getting into our private dimension: the screen of a computer becomes a metaphor of the visual organ from which to view the landscape; the eye can spy the space left over the window or steal a picture everyday behind a glaze.
Following an established tradition of Jarach Gallery, the title of this group show is inspired by the music world, and it celebrates the tenth anniversary of the album "100th Window" by Massive Attack. Artists in show: Giorgio Barrera, Simone Bergantini, Andrea Dojmi, Guido Guidi, Teodoro Lupo.
