Samuel Métraux conceived an inaccessible show-pavilon specially for the installation 'Ephemeros', in which a cylindrical, lithographic printed wax panel melts down within three days. The spyglass pane mirrors the environment by day, whereat only the exterior part of the pavilion is visible. Only darkness enables the viewer to have an insight. Due to integrated mirrors, the viewer is provided an endless mirroring of the ephemeral installation.
The installation, which is conceived in a subtle manner, leaves space open for an interchange of ideas on various cultural and philosophical levels. The recipients are supposed to be encouraged to revise the question about transitoriness in connection to eternity.
