An Italian flag created by 150 portraits of the significant characters 'in the history of Italy from her unity to today. The work takes the spectator through the courage and obstinacy 'of the Italian model in the field of politics, industry, commerce, literature, fashion, art, music, sports and the Christian world, not to mention the big screen, the police and whatever else was important for the realization of a state rich in cultural ferment and ideological evolution. The selection of portraits was inspired by a list voted by the Italians themselves on: www.150italiani.it. These portraits are superimposed on a large exfoliated canvas , as to keep an Italy united and created by her own people and whose long fringes symbolize the underlying continuous construction of these ideals and human and moral's virtues that represent the qualities of a state.
Each of the three significant colores of our flag will be the container of 50 portraits, each made ​​with different media on canvas. The complete work will measure 'more' or less h. 3.5 x 10 m. The work's made ​​entirely of cloth and canvas.
