Dejan Bogdanovic, Serbo-Croatian artist, who chose Florence as the favorite place of inspiration and creation of his art. Painter, able to grasp the eternal exchange between Eros and Thanatos using shapes and colors. In his works the humanoid shapes emerge from obscurity to materialize in lighter tones, in the kingdom of light, a perfect chaos where the word "end" in itself can not survive.
In the exhibition The Lightness of Rebirth at the Florentine gallery Artedove the artist will present a selection from his historical works to those in which the brand new form seems to move away from life and give ample field to the emotions. The path that the critic Massimo Innocenti describes:
"In the opus, work, the gaze of Dejan Bogdanovic does not preclude a conclusion, but embodies the personality made soul of a remote body. Abstracting for Dejan is not just a mathematical combination nor only a spiritual vision, but it is a convergence of feelings. A place where the real opposition confronts the very essence of the matter. On the one hand a vision, a choice, an experience that becomes a starting point, on the other, at the same time, the work penetrates in its true presence, which is the absence of any recognizable image, nevertheless visible through the meanings of the colors. That sensorial alphabet producing lines, shapes and lights only through a larger reality far from the truth, but a part of it. "
And it is precisely this sensorial alphabet that allows the viewer a broad reading of the works of Dejan allowing multiple interpretations, as many different personalities, that opens the door between definite and indefinite between finite and infinite maintaining art in constant motion, physical but also mutable with many shades of color, light and sensations.
