Martelli's compositions of buildings, skies, landscapes, and quotidian urban scenes are approached with hyper-realism, but at times tend to verge on the metaphysical, with a cold eerie air paired with dramatic perspectives.
Marco Martelli (b. 1968) lives and works in Florence. He studied architecture and paints since he was 8 years old. He has exhibited in numerous galleries in Italy, Switzerland, Canada, and the U.S. including: Falteri Gallery (Florence), Davico Gallery (Torino), Aca Gallery (Toronto), Anthony Brunelli Fine Art Gallery (Binghamton, New York).
