The New Renaissance of Florentine Beauty

Three Shades of Beauty through a Female Gaze

There is only one thing in life, and that's the continual renewal of inspiration (Diana Vreeland)

In 1817, when admiring the beauty of Florence, the French author Stendhal underwent the profoundest experience of ecstacy he had ever encountered. In a city such as Florence you can experience beauty everywhere and at any time. But what is beauty? In what way does it continue to astonish and fascinate us? What place does beauty have in our everyday life? The spring event organized by the students of the Lorenzo de’ Medici Institute wants to help the city of Florence to reawake the mystery of beauty by viewing it through the eyes of three fascinating female artists: photographer Lucilla Bellini, fashion-designer Natalia Franco C. and fashion editor Diana Vreeland.

You can visit the exhibition "The New Renaissance of Florentine Beauty": at the Fondazione Niels Stensen in Viale don Minzoni 25/c in Florence, from Monday to Friday, from 10am-18pm
