The event A CASTLE ON THE HORIZON 2015, at "Il Torchio, app. Sabbioneta", will be inaugurated "REFLECTIONS", solo exhibition by PINA THE RED exhibiting photographic works selected for the event.
The medieval village, thanks to a long restoration desired by the two owners architects Neapolitan Gennaro Matacena and Matthew Scaramella, has returned to live. In addition to cultural proposals it provides the opportunity to spend a relaxing holiday accompanied by the vision of artistic beauty, scenery and an excellent cuisine with traditional dishes and quality.
The event "A CASTLE ON THE HORIZON 2015" proposes conferences, debates, meetings with writers, workshops, concerts of various music, theater, exhibitions of painting and photography, with the participation of internationally renowned artists.
For the restoration of the village and the success that the documentary "An architecture spontaneous abandonment recovery" have obtained, at the Festival des Films d'Art in Montreal, the certificate by the Unesco Club of Europe.
Pina Della Rossa
And 'teacher of Design and Art History, photographer and painter, lives and works in Naples. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, was a pupil of Carlo Alfano and Mimmo Jodice. Its specific language is to work with images suggesting photography as a tool for reflection and analysis. His photographic research, which began in the eighties, he wants to be a great return to painting. Fundamental, then, it is the intensive dialogue between painting and photography, two inseparable elements, which manifests itself through a relationship of different languages within the same image. In this regard it focuses on the composition, on the study of color and light, the tonal contrasts, on games of plans, and the intensity of the details. In order to overcome the physical surface of the painting, to go over the pictures to include the space-time dimension.
His debut dates back to 1985 with the photo exhibition (Sicof Milan), where he was presented by Mimmo Iodice.
He has exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions, his works are in public and private institutions, in museums and archives of contemporary art, in various Italian cities and abroad.
