Alice Valenti serves her apprenticeship in painting with the honored "Maestro" Domenico Di Mauro, dazzled by the decorative and chromatic framework of Sicilian carts.
So She initially referred to carts painting for her personal and colorful reinterpretation of traditional themes applied on furniture and objects.
In the last years the artist has focused on the expression of a variegated and intimate concept of "sicilianità".
This strong feeling for time and tradition is into the "cavalli bardati" series, the so famous "Mirabella sardines can", the modern contemporary interpretation of symbols,faces and ryths of sicilian popular culture, with an ironic and nostalgic mood.
The exibition includes a selection of works realized since 2006 including the last production of big size panels.
