Gender Bender is promoting and hosting the international competition dedicated to performances which last 1 minute.
The performances - in any expressive form and discipline - must last exactly one minute and must contain and develop the themes of Gender Bender:
new representations of the body
the role of cultural variables in identity construction
an original reading of the roles and standards of what is masculine and feminine
imagery produced from the issues of gender identity and sexual orientation
The selected jury - currently being chosen - will award a single non-dividable prize of € 500 to the best performance.
The official participation form is to arrive by the 1st september 2009.
The selected performances will be invited to perform in a specially organised event within the Gender Bender programme.
The participation is cost free.
