THE ANGELS
The wings of art towards the Transcendent
"Jacob had a dream: a stairway resting on the earth,
and the top of it reached to heaven;
and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it! "
(Genesis 28, 12)
Those who enter the basilica of St. Bartholomew and St. Gaetano walking on a floor of stars. Around an innumerable company of angels are ready to serve: hold the fonts, support lamps, fly between the domes. At the height of the choir, musical angels look out from a balcony to accompany with their musical instruments, the organ and the choir of human voices.
The "Bongiovanni Art Galleries" has chosen to inaugurate the exhibition as "Angels", inviting visitors to enter the basilica to climb up to the angels and a fresh look at the reality. This is in fact the mission of art: to elevate the human spirit to enjoy the beauty and harmony.
The Angels, which form the central subject of the works, thus became the symbol of the possibilities offered to man through the many forms of art, to go beyond the horizon that closes us, to experience the joy of creation and the glory immortality.
Each artist was asked to create site-specific works or specifically chosen for this exhibition with an international flavor. This exhibition not only sees the collaboration between the different types of art and artistic techniques in a cross-over, but mostly sees the collaboration and the presence of important personalities such as Stephen Bishop Ottani of the Basilica of Saints Bartoleo and Gaetano and for the concert of 20 June in the Basilica Professor Carla Ferraro, and Professor Bruna Bruno of Bologna Youth Chamber Orchestra for this magnificent occasion have studied the following musical program:

So a program designed, built and deeply felt because of the Transcendental Ali degli Angeli Basilica, the Angels in the notes of the music choices and the Angels represented in the works leading to an elevation above all spiritual, in this historical moment, so necessary.
