PRESENTATION
The Cultural Association of Venice Teatrio debut in March 1988 taking care of the edition of the Biennial Book Illustrated for Children. It presents more than 150 works of thirteen of the most important European illustrators. The success pushes further the Association's intention to raise the Italian publishing and assign artistic value and training to the illustration in our country.
It promotes exhibitions, competitions, courses and seminars of illustration and includes so many requests of known and young illustrators.
Since then, here it is the applicants Biennials Illustrated book them now in their twelfth year to achieve in the year 2013 (with the best illustrators Israelis) and exhibitions of illustrators Italian landed in major foreign capitals made in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Italian and that of the host countries.
That's still the foundation in 1992 of the international courses of illustration became immediately a great meeting point and verification of the best known national and international masters. The young illustrators are courses finally the opportunity to learn how to recognize the structure of fairytales and research of decisive actions in the story, the graphic-pictorial techniques, cuts and sizes of images, layout and cover.
