Press release
The City of Este presents the exhibition "But art is really changing?", Held at the Old Fish 11 to 26 June 2011.
Organized in collaboration with agency events and MV EVENTS Art Gallery ART Sgarro Lonigo (VI), for over ten years specializing in organizing cultural events in collaboration with public (with exhibitions dedicated to Max Ernst, Arman Mario Schifano, Sassu, etc.), the exhibition aims to tell if the art is now able to go beyond the limits that the twentieth century has imposed.
Contemporary art is really stops 50 years ago? Massacred by technology? It seems there is a disconnect between the strong and the art lover of art that, apart from the rooms fill always the same artists, almost entirely escapes the rest. Installations and performances that have something wrong? Perhaps, too much intellectual communication has put too much strain on the public?
Technology has helped the art to grow, or has been demolished, bringing a simple search of the look of amazement?
The exhibition, which includes a question that the visitor will have to respond through individual performance, is a way to tell if the art is really changed.
What are the visions that surround the lighting of artists who have won awards including the Prix Arte Mondadori and selected for the Venice Biennale and are already in museums and international exhibitions?
1 question.
11 artists: Gianluca Stumpo. Danilo Martinis. Alessandro Troso. Tina Sgro. Francis Pasquantonio. Carlo Checa. Manuela Luzi. Fabio Panichi. Tironi-Yoshida. Fabrizio and Lorenzo Carotti
A final answer.
Guests of the exhibition will be artists Tina Sgro and Fabrizio Carotti, recently invited by the group Arthemisia, organizer of the Italian Pavilion to attend the 54th Venice Biennale, from June 4 to November 27, 2011.
Tina Sgro, with his undoubted talent, has run strongly placed in the area of R03;R03;expression that attempts to renew the iconography of the urban landscape, bringing their own personal contribution to the development of an original figure style and a particular way of seeing and representing the urban scene. It 'a painting, its, about architectures, railway stations, toll stations and level crossings, bridges ed'autostrade of piers and bridges, road signs and train service, suburbs and city centers. What the artist presents us with intense images are obtained through a robust system designed and painting, where the brushstrokes dissolved travel, peremptory and aggressive and you have in all possible directions with fury and energy.
Fabrizio Carotti uses photography with a deliberateness that never becomes incapable of not getting involved in the possibility of a confrontation with the temporality curdled. Part of the photograph as genealogy impossible to open a trial to other situations and to the painting itself, which is related by blood to his generation. Digital technology means that the timing of the recovery and processing are the same in a 'unit of time infinitely variable.
