On Sunday 26th May 2013, at 6 p.m. Marconi Gallery of Cupra Marittima and Marche Centro d'Arte present De humana physiognomonia, sole exposition by Niba. This exhibition is the last appointment for the season 2012/2013.
De humana phyysiognomonia is cured by Dario Ciferri who is also the author of the critical text and can be visited till Saturday 22nd June 2013 at Marconi Gallery (c.so Vittorio Emanuele, 70 – Cupra Marittima).
Niba sole exposition is part of the events which join the contemporary art Expo of Marche Centro d'Arte.
"Niba speaks directly to our heart and to our intellect through her artistic research. Her sculpures are able to combine in-house fairy tales, fears, thoughtlessness, loss of innocence. Her works describe the hidden side of things, that is ultimately the truest and most interesting aspect. Yet with De humana physiognomonia Niba seems to have taken a step forward towards a new expressive substance. Her sculpture takes from Posthumanist and Enlightenment tradition to generate a new anthropomorphized and current form.
In a contemporary wunderkammer new forms of Naturalia are.exposed: a protomuseum with perfect models of new or alternative "human" species. It is a trip to the very essence of human nature, to the possible evolutions but unrealized, a path within an anatomy different from that developed by us discended from apes and hominid." "Each new exhibition season is like a new starting, a kind of thinking again about what has been done in order to go on growing on the roots,hopefully solid, that have been put. This year, Marconi Gallery is 18 years old, (but the maturity is still far to come), It's an important occasion and I wish to thank all those who , even if only for a moment, a chatting, a cigarette, have approached the work of the gallery.
