If the image identity has been founded by painting, photography has gone beyond its limits, like would say Roland Bartthes, in order to make us face reality, thanks to an objectivity which represents its essence. Elena Giustozzi work starts choosing an old picture of a family group to finish with an installation like a film sequence. She doesn't resort to memory to represent the past, but rather she set free its forms so that to elevate the fragment in abstract instant which has the value of eternity. The photo, after having been observed and analyzed, it is anatomized and in the end each part is put on pose. The pictorial geesture and the tonal gradations, reminiscent at times of the rigorous monochrome move, are sublimated by the perfection of execution. The mystery of the representation is enhanced by the exagerated portrait of the individual fragments, including all those things which are on paper, like creases or scratches All the work is like a sequence of assembly without a link based on the close detail, where the visitors can organize their own .staging and freely build their own plot. It's a concept operation through which Elena Giustozzi demonstrates the complex ability to activate the own individual recherche the beholder, so that the detail of a drapery, of a dress, the gesture of a hand, a pot of flowers, become the madeleines to begin the journey with.." For the third consecutive season the cooperation between Marconi Gallery and Design? Sssociated Studio ps renewed and the project to to have a new space for Contemporary Art in San Benedetto is going on and it is working next to the old place of Cupra Marittima. The cooperation develops around the the idea to raise in the regional territory the passion for art and design, two worlds that often get in touch and play to have a dialogue together.
Marconi Gallery goes on this way with its art promotion outside its own place , experiencing other places instead of the traditional art galleries.
Design? Associated Study wants to overcome the limits of an architectural studio in order to become a culture promoter and offer new perspectives to the ones who frequent its place.
With the same critic spirit of research for the visual arts, Architecture and Design, the cooperation wants to start a new path of studies and experimentation through the analysis and the reworking of the surrounding reality.
