Attraverso i contorni delle cose
Exhibitions, Italy, Ascoli Piceno, San Benedetto del Tronto, 08 May 2011
After the success of the three Natureculture group expositions, Marconi Gallery of Cupra Marittima presents, on Sunday 8th May at 6,00 p.m., Maria Chiara Calvani and Alba Rossi in a double sole exhibition named Through the things outlines that it's cured by Cristina Petrelli who also wrote the critical text.
The series Too much! Marconi Gallery exagerates! ends with Through the things outlines.

"When you want someone to fall in love, who knows how you can do it?" (Novalis – Fragments)
We could be inspired by Novalis words to capture the magic, the mystery and the desire to abandon that only love can arouse. Questioning about love as if to steal its sense, to understand the mechanism, get to know its nature.
Such feeling, a continuous inspiration for man, becomes objects, remains into the voices and notes of the environment, is kept, as if it were a spider victim, in the prying eyes and in the slightest details hold inside the photos in this double sole exhibition . It's a theme which the artists involved and also myself chose to deal with, neverthless ( or just for ) the abuse and trivialization it's always subjected to.
Maria Chiara Galvani moves inside the dynamics of falling in love in "Fall in love". She extracts excerpts of interviews, images and audio recordings out of valuable evidences coming from an unsettling question. Private stories, whose emotional centre is in inanimated objects, some of which are physically present in the exhibition space.
Alba Rossi, gives plots for never written stories through spatial short-circuits and time shifts in her "Scripts for love stories". The artist creates sequences showing extremely delicate details, where the faces of loved ones also appear. The innumerable aspects of love are expressed by her shots printed in small sizes.
Even in a different manner, the two examples pay their attention on small parts of the reality, identifying the units of existence.

A new series for the sixteenth year of activity, in the renewed spaces of Marconi Gallery, but strongly roteed in its research course. All this would seem already Too much. But it cannot be sufficient. Our hope is to work still coherently, with our being willful and wanting to grow, always behind the times, capturing ideas and changes of our time. All this would seem Too much as well. There is neither arrogance nor immodesty but the 2010-2011 series is just entitled Too Much! Marconi Gallery exagerates!, because in a world where there is the crisis that is involving million of people, where everyone of us is subjected to cuts and restrictions of the fundamental rights, we feel the desire to overflow, and not only physically.
