Reference points is the title of the exhibition, curated by Massimo Nardi and promoted by Enkomion, quarterly History, Literature and Art, in 2013 Expoarte Bari, which is a collateral event. 8 to 11 March at the New Hall of the Fiera del Levante in Bari
An exhibition project lingual, attentive to the creative research of some of the most representative and interesting artistic personalities of the path of the contemporary in recent years.
Reference points receptacle is the soul of genius loci, observatory on what is happening, but also reflection, critical look at the world around them, that the knowledge of the location of a territory and its memory trace and communicates outside a plural identity, declined in many languages, but in its entirety, is an indisputable reference point in the evolution of contemporary South Asia.
The art, the perfect combination of form and content, of semiotic material and noetic which is conveyed through the artist, which gives the thought a comprehensible form, perceptible and understandable, it is never the sole and exclusive individual expression. It arises constantly in relation to a specific context, whatever the coordinates topical and cultural or linguistic approach and material at the base of the process.
It could be argued that the operation artistic dialogues constantly with the environment in which traces its roots to then evolve, projecting outwards, while maintaining its core identity.
The artist is a reference point for the area as it is for the artist and for the conceptual and material of his creations, to the point that they do not exist in isolation.
Landmarks reciprocal, then, artist and territory, thus, find themselves involved in an interactive link, solid, absolute, which is reflected consistently in the works, in the ideological premises as in the choice and treatment of the material. In the latter, it should be to condense the elements of an entire aesthetic and cultural tradition, which is our total heritage of culture and history.
