In the 150th anniversary of the birth of Edvard Munch

entocinquanta years ago was born in Norway the great painter Edvard Munch, one of the fathers of contemporary art, able to advance with his painting the central themes of modern society: from anguish to the crisis of religious and ethical values, loneliness all human 'impending death, the uncertainty of the future to the dehumanization of a bourgeois society and militarism.
On the basis of his best-known work "The Scream", the Cultural Association "La Maya Desnuda" and "La Maya Desnuda - Trade Publishing Events Art" promote the exhibition of painting and sculpture "THE CRY OF SILENCE. THE 150th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BIRTH OF Edvard Munch, "which will be staged on the main floor of Palazzo Albertini in Piazza Saffi in Forli July 5 to 28, 2013, with opening of the exhibition Friday, July 5th, 2013 at 17.30 hours.
The exhibition will be the summer event in the city of Forlì, also advertised on the Adriatic coast, which is about 20 km, will be sponsored by the city of Forlì, by the Province of Forlì-Cesena, Emilia Romagna Region and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage , and is divided into two sections:
- Section expressionist style, consists of works from the distorted images, lines and signs consumed, use of unreal colors, bold compositional schemes to represent that sense of agonizing torment that accompanied the life and art of the great Master Norwegian.
- Section figurative style more descriptive, in which figures and objects convey an impression of solitude crystallized, with elements tending to the fantastic and the nightmare.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog in full color that will publish pictures of the works in the exhibition, the institutional texts and critical, has been requested to provide a text to the Director of the Gallery of Modern Art in Oslo, where he kept the painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch.
A film on the show will be released on You Toube while all the images of the selected works will be placed with an appropriate critical comments, the Facebook page created for this purpose.
