The House of World Cultures in the Province of Milan offers from 15 February to 9 March, the exhibition " Caucasus . Iran , Armenia, Georgia, " photographs by Dorian Cara. On display are over forty images ( 26x38 cm) made ​​over the last three years, a photographic project born within the research and mapping by the author, who is also a historian and art critic, Byzantine archaeological sites in the Caucasian centers is significant for the Asian cultures for European ones. The report says this intersection region between north and south , east and west, a place of political boundaries and merging of peoples.
The pictures, selected from thousands of clicks, dwell on landscapes, architecture, religion, and especially on everyday life and his actions, from which emerge the pride and the strong cultural identity of each of the countries in the area. Dear tried to stop time in micro stories, stories of places and people who live there, between the ancient stones and modern skyline, shifting horizons between the refined decorations accompanying the diversity of faith.
Always been a crossroads of land and peoples of the Caucasus is a land of absolute charm, where ethnic views and orographic reserve continuous, unexpected surprises as amazing. Bed of ancient traditions, where they met the Christian -Byzantine culture with the Arab- Muslim region, however, is at the center of unresolved conflicts.
During the period of the exhibition, there are three meetings with the author dedicated to each of the three countries portraits, with projected images are not included among those exposed: Sunday, February 23, 18:30 - Georgia, Saturday, March 1, 17.30 - Armenia, Sunday March 9, 17.30 - Iran.

Dorian Cara specializes in cultural heritage legislation, is responsible for cataloging, promotion and enhancement of cultural heritage Italian and foreign markets. He has written for newspapers and published several volumes of photographs. He also conceived and curated exhibitions of contemporary art.
