FLORENCE. Giovanni Maranghi back, years later, to exhibit in Florence, in the beautiful setting that has seen hosting exhibitions of the greatest exponents of the '900: Palazzo Medici Riccardi.
And it does so with an exhibition by cutting anthology although in fact it is not.
An exhibition / story where Maranghi tells her emotional and artistic spent the last thirty years, through gesture most congenial to him: the drawing.
The project in fact is based completely on delivering a single complete work which will occupy all the rooms made available inside the building.
The artist, from its own "personal diaries" (dozens of notebooks filled with sketches, notes, drawings and sensations) drawn closely over the years, will produce a single huge "strip" that in its complexity, will show the public the 'essence and soul of the same Maranghi.
A show "naked", without inhibitions, to tell and tell today, after a long career of countless acclaim in Italy and abroad.
In the exhibition will be shown a video made during the construction phases of the creation of the work exhibited, where visitors can better understand the commitment and the exercise deployed by Maranghi for this event.
The exhibition will be documented by a valuable catalog, realized with the contribution of Tecnau - supervisory systems, and will be presented on December 20, where within the same, will be hosted as well as images of the finished work, the images of "work in progress" and the testimony critical of the two curators of the exhibition, Filippo Lotti and Roberto Milani, in addition to the valuable critical contribution of Prof. Ivan Quaroni and the coordinator Alessandro Sarti.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on November 29, at 5 p.m., the presence of the President of the Province of Florence, Andrea Barducci and with the special participation of the director of the Uffizi Gallery, Antonio Natali.
