Raúl has always wanted to be a photographer because when he was a child he was given a camera and and a photo album by his father.

He studied photography at Efti School of Valencia and in the Agency Cover. He started to be interested in photography initially with photojournalism although over the years he has chosen to work more in documentaries.
He is interested in capturing the human side and the relationship between man and nature.
His adventurous spirit made him travel around half of the world. He has traveled among of other places to Greenland to capture the effects of climatic change and how it affects the Inuits and he has also been to Chernobyl, where he has photographed the pain and how life is to intermingle in one of the world´s most polluted places.

He has published in various national and international newspapers and he has presented several exhibitions of his own; in places such as Museo Municipal (Albacete), Museo Comarcal (Hellín), Casa de la Cultura (Morón de la Frontera), Rectorado Universidad Hispalense (Sevilla), Casa Colón (Huelva), Casa de la Provincia (Sevilla), Biblioteca Rafael Alberti (Madrid), Palacio de la Merced (Córdoba)...

His main works that stand out are the works of "Kalaallit Nunaat" and "Chernobyl, el enemigo invisible" now it is being shown in Kiev by the Eurocopa.

He is also a founder member of the group Abphoto.

This summer he´ll come back to Greenland to do a job about the spiritual relationship between the inuits and nature.
