Erosions - Kiyomi Sakaguchi & Eleonora Mazza
Exhibitions, San Marino, San Marino, 31 July 2014
The theme comes to mind erosion of the matter which could be stone , metal or colour,to the transformation of the bodies and the Self. A theme which is found in both artists, expressed by very differant languages - Kiyomi Sakaguchi mainly with abstract sculptor, Eleonora Mazza with figurative painting like the distance of their home towns in Japan and San Marino but both their artworks transmit the same feeling of slolitude and retreating within themselves which anyway leaves space to the transformation and changing. This variation of Self therefore is also an alteration of the matter due to the slow intense activity of time, like water which rusts the rock, like wind which smooths the stone, like the artist's hand that sculpts the stone, transforms it which gives shape and colour to its own internal feelings, letting it come out and undergo a new metamorphosis.
