The opposition between light and darkness, since the beginning of humanity, in its rhythmic alternation, had a metaphysical connotations, psychological, ethical. In the founding myths light, it is the creative element, even if the darkness is the necessary antecedent and the inevitable final conclusion. The night is symbolic relationship with the mother's womb protector but also with the end, with the death.
At night, especially for the man of antiquity, it was at the very origins of life, more than the day, as the primordial night dominated before the sun and the moon were created. In the greek myth of the night Nyx is the goddess, dressed in black and with the dress, studded with stars, which during the day resting in a cave in the far West and at sunset, with a wagon that is attached to the blacks horses, traveling in the sky. The time of the suspension, the interval is not tolerated and any possible birth or change must be controlled, programmed, exposed, it disappears private space. The brightly lit. structure an unreal place almost psychotic, where time is an eternal day, but the apparent vitalism hides a deep fear of death. Everything is so shown, actually sets, enough to cause lack of distinction and the hallucination of a shining but I fake almost a fetish.
