TIME IS ...
Exhibitions, Italy, Trieste, 01 September 2018
BIENNALE AUSTRIA association presents on occasion of the exhibition “TIME IS …” positions of artists from Australia, Germany, Ukraine and Austria on the subject of “TIME” from 1 – 15 September 2018 at Gallery Il Salone dell’arte, Via della Zonta 2/c, 34100 Trieste, Italy.

Theme:
Basically, you can experience the deal with the TIME PHENOMENON in visual arts from two sides: on one side time is implied to you, on the other side it’s constituted. In various epochs human society dedicated more or less attention to the time phenomenon.
Within the last decades a radical transformation of the perception of time aroused caused by basic changes of human society.
The aggrandizement of individual space by rapid development of technical medias and digital benchmarks, the elevation of one’s own life-speed by an increasingly faster changing and operating environment, the concentration as well as the dictates on all levels by a meritocratic society to use time as productive as possible, all this arouses the special interest of any individual to put a question to himself about perception of history, evanescence and the dealing with reminiscence and oblivion. (Elisabeth Rass, 2018)

The gallery “Il Salone dell’arte” located in Trieste in the Borgo Teresiano, the historical area of the city, famous for its art Nouveau cafes, its important theatres, its antique shops and its period atmosphere that is breathed walking through the streets, makes us travel through the time. The gallery has been present for over eighteen years in the artistic cultural field, it includes as well as a cozy exhibition room also four window displays that overlook the main street, a reference point for many local artists.
Over the years “Il Salone dell’arte” has organized as well as exhibitions of important artists, such as Elvio Zorzenon, Pietro Piccoli, Fabio Colussi, Ezio Farinelli, Diego Valentinuzzi and many others, has also participated in several major initiatives, the fairs of Padua, Pordenone, Reggio Emilia, Arezzo, Forte dei Marmi and curated the artistic direction of the Tartaglia Arte di Roma.
