a Chrysalis from a bedroom to the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome

(Kyrahm) On December 1, 2012 at 9.30 p.m I'll repeat my performance art piece Chrysalis. My mother wrap me in a cocoon and I will stay in it for 22 hours. This time the action will start from my house, the walls of my childhood. In 2009, in a Square in Rome, I was in a cocoon for 27 hours, cared by my mother. This time I'll perform in the bedroom where I spent hours and hours in silence when i was a child. How many memories will i remember this time? On this occasion i'll not have the risk of the isolation in the square, staying warm at home, is absolutely a different condition. I will not eat, not drink, inside a cocoon. For 22 hours. On December 2 at 7 pm i will come delivered to MACRO - Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome, enclosed in a cocoon. i'll reborn there and I'll start to feed me, drink. ADRENALINA ART PRIZE, organized by the ETF sas and promoted by the Committee on Culture, Sport and Youth Policy of Roma Capitale, under the auspices of the Department of Cultural Affairs and Historical Center and in collaboration with MACRO - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Roma, to support and promote contemporary art in the City of Rome. This Award represents the evolution of the project ADRENALINA an observatory on contemporary art that, since 2009, with the artistic direction of Ferdinando Colloca and the organization of Federico Bonesi, has identified as the main festival of Roma Capitale dedicated to the new artistic trends.
