Exhibitions, Italy, Roma, Frascati, 08 August 2015
The work of Giuliana Silvestrini, aka Siscia, at the Scuderie Aldobrandini, entitled I can not do without it, is linked to the noble theme of memory. A perceptive memory and obsessive and intimate. It 'consists of three elements a track: an installation, a sound space, a video and Fingerprints mnemonic tissue.
The project is built around the dematerialization of the body. The route starts with a suspended installation: a giant fishing net containing old clothes. It is accompanied with a sound / noise that permeates the environment and a silent video that opens a bright window and dummy in the exhibition space. The artist presents the symbolic image of a semantic tangle, the concept that evokes many memories provocateurs. The invisible is discernible in the absence of the body as a vague murmur is audible in the sound space. The work transcends the five senses and take on conceptually trauma psycho / social memory and reasons related to: deposition, fall, death and separation
