A series of portraits where the animal man is revealed. Faces compounds with the pelvic bones of different animal species: dog, cow, turtle, monkey and man. Hypnotic gaze and disturbing figures that emerge from the depths, raises attraction and repulsion at the same time. The portrait, which by its nature reveals the inner expressions of the face, here on the surface exposes the animal that subconsciously lurks within us. Generally, the face is the only part that we do not cover - the face is naked - but these portraits metamorphosis as the face with the bones of the animal that will fit like a mask.
Portraits, representing the invisible, have a strongly iconic. The artist brings out the animal aspect, rooted in the depths of the intimate human similarity or by descent. Just this secret intimacy animal out to us, because we are concerned. The figures we summon, invite us and lead us to dig reflected in our intimacy. The series Meat D'bones thus offers to our gaze: the figures show the inside out on the canvas, and as a consequence we are led to choose or identify what our mask of bones.
