EROTIKA
The Galleria Minima from April 18 to May 10, 2014 , will host the works of Francesca De Angelis in a solo exhibition titled " EROTIKA ."
ATTRACTIVE PRIVATE VICES
Looking at the drawings of Francesca De Angelis perceives a restless character , the strong colors and big eyes are far away.
Draw as if it were an outlet , a means : there are no accomodamenti ... not anymore.
The white background is divided by sections , rather than determined , ruthless ; his characters now , though sometimes stylized , are real, without pretense and without tricks , everything is just graced aristocratic contrast between white and black, with investments of extraordinary blue and red.
Subtle signs as if they were pages of a diary .
Again the meeting , the blend of two worlds that do not cancel never fully , but sometimes merge and ask the artist a choice on who will be the winner of this fight.
Choice that is slow to arrive , and that probably will never happen.
The artist feels within herself , vital, both the one and the other world.
In his drawings is strong dualism, an eternal game with feelings always different statements from sections of color as if they were pictorial subtle pleasures .
It would be useless to overload assignments and psychological interpretations of these designs , because it's exciting to think that they are the result of an instinctive , as if they were collected fantasies of an artist passionaria.Del rest any judgment would be entirely subjective and could not interpret the irrepressible conflict the artist.
His drawings are nice because De Angelis is as if he had a picture of us , that part of the "private" , those delicious " private vices " facts of excess: the virtues now are boring even to enunciate . In this light, the work of Francesca intrigues , attracts , delights , this evidence of the achievement of a high artistic level.
