You know, the charm of an exhibition of paintings, reaches its peak only in the presence of great artists.
A framework can be a symbolic presence but also functional: from the original piece of furniture in precious gift, to irreplaceable component of a romantic atmosphere.
But when behind the purchase of a painting, it moves a large project of solidarity, here is that people who take part are the protagonists of the project.
For the third consecutive year, "Il sorriso di Roberta per l’UNICEF” chose the Paladiana windows in the hall of the town of Milazzo, as an occasion of great attraction.
After the previous editions focusing on helping children Bolivian victims of child labor in 2009, and the children of Haiti, victims of the earthquake that devastated the 'island in 2010, this third edition of 2011 wants to give practical help and essential to the children of Darfur, victims of a war more than twenty years that has bloodied the Sudan.
The event as well as representing a unique opportunity to discover some 100 established and emerging artists from all over Italy and Europe, who have donated a painting that they will be sold at a price significantly lower than the market value of 'work also aims to support UNICEF to which the Roberta Smedili Association, is particularly linked by a deep sense of respect and friendship, also because knowledge of the humanitarian efforts and non-profit organization that for over 50 years UNICEF carries out in every country in the world, particularly in helping children who are the weakest link in the chain, humanitarian, and without which a country has no chance of growth and development.
The spirit of solidarity, with which it moves the event, we are sure will agree with visitors to the event, which united in harmony with the artists who donated their work, provide the children of Darfur, a little help in that sea of solidarity that UNICEF continues to lead daily in all parts of the planet.
Moreover as Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, "What we do is just a drop in the ocean, but if we do not have a drop in the ocean less."
