PIETRO FRANESI
Evi Photopoulou is an international visual artist, illustrator and video artist from Greece. She attended the College of Contemporary Arts London (London College of Contemporary Arts) where he developed a wide variety of creative methods, attended numerous art workshop at Tate Modern.
The Photopoulou participated in numerous art exhibitions and biennials from London to Rome, from Mexico to Chicago, New York and Las Vegas as the works were exhibited in solo exhibitions in galleries in the U.S., Asia and Europe. The works are in private collections around the world.
At the site of the old “ABEA” factory, the artist, within the framework of her art installation and under the care of Pietro Franesi, will present paintings, sculptures and video art projects, with the intention to bring out the universal concept of identity through her modern and, at the same time, diachronic methods of creation.
After his visit to the artist’s studio, Mr. Franesi said the following:
When I visited the studio of Evi, I was struck by those lacerated bodies it take your hands and scream their tragedies. Then I turned the works and those titles nail you to feelings of guilt as aman and a person. Her are not obsessions but aid requests silent screams Those who have intelligent ears can hear and also communicate using a secret code. I feltupset before, then thoughtful, then an accomplice of those souls. A goose bumps rugged and tough I reported the presence of an artist to the top level. I remembered why I was there. I was sent by international collectors who had viewed the work of Evi presented to New York Biennale Art in March 2013. Now all her works are optioned, a great future awaits for her. I am happy to have discovered Evi and to present her first installation. in her loved Chania. We thought and dreamed together.the instalation . The identity has a universal value, allows you to participate in the global village carrying something and not taking something. Her Greek spirit is unmistakeable and exues in all the works The contemporaneity is the ability to speak understandable a cosmopolitan language especially for children. In Evi identity and contemporaneity giving birth to an alloy that combines the marble of Phidias and drawings oh Haring. Welcome to the international collecting dear Evi Photopoulos
