The Epireo Art Gallery is selecting artists for the exhibition "Fragments of stories between the History" which will take place in Rome, with the patronage of The Department of Cultural Policies and of the Historical Center of City of Rome, from November 26 to December 14, 2011, in the prestigious halls of the Historical Museum of Infantry inserted in the Museum Complex of Santa Croce in Gerusalemme between the National Museum of Musical Instruments and the Historical Museum of the Grenadiers of Sardinia, in the heart of the capital, near the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano. Opened in November 1959, the Museum of Infantry is full of documents, testimonies and memorabilia of the Italian infantry, spread in 35 rooms and five tunnels.
Surrounded by the Aurelian Walls, in the attractive Italian-style garden you can admire the ruins of the apse of a civil basilica built in the Constantinian era, known as the "Temple of Venus and Cupidine", and the Domus Sessoriana. The event “Frammenti di Stotrie tra la Storia”, is part of the closing celebrations of the 150 th anniversary of the unification of Italy and want to promote the cultural and artistic italian and international panorama.
Given the historical importance of the place and the exclusivity of the event, in which will also take place the ceremony of the Fifth Edition of The International Award “I GRIFONI 2011” with the proclamation of the winner among the 10 nominees selected in the past exhibition that was held in May, The Epireo Art Gallery , the organizer of the event, assisted by the same team of experts who have organized numerous artistic and cultural events sponsored by the Regione Lazio, Provincia di Roma, Comune di Roma, and many other institutions and local governments, will make an accurate valuation of the material sent for selection of the event “Frammenti di Stotrie tra la Storia “, to ensure high quality.
The purpose of the event is, therefore, join the great historical past with the present, through the work of national and international artists that are called to exhibit fragments of everyday life, expressed through different techniques and subjects.
