Fuori dal guscio/ Sorprese d’artista nell’Italia dei pulcini e Pulcinella
Exhibitions, Italy, Roma, 16 April 2011
The egg is the origin, metamorphosis and regeneration. The egg reveals and conceals, contains a life that must occur to break barriers, exit out of the shell. The symbol of his power through ages and continents in a continuous dialogue between secular and sacred dimension. Its archetypal form dominates myths, rituals, legends, inspires dreams of pregnant mysteries, generating visions of possible worlds.
Worlds that hatch, grow, explode, they multiply through the works of a group of artists committed to interpreting the contradictions of a country shaken by the identity, where past and present struggle to create the future, where young chicks and ambiguous Pulcinella read scripts faded in the spotlight, instead of revealing hidden.
Yet visions unexpected surprise the eye. Break the shell and nurture new ways of standing, stripped of their contradictions and mask secular symbols, to go further.
These are forms of rebirth, played by feel, multiplied gestures, signs, colors that draw the real country and plan to come, metaphorically enclosed in an egg as a surprise feared and desired.

Many cultural models proposed, revised, undermined. And hit many targets identified now with delicacy with violence. A kaleidoscopic surprise, the play of light and refraction that the twenty-seven artists dealing with a variety of techniques, languages R03;R03;and tone: they whisper, they suggest, screaming, laughing wild, singing humorous, dark and solar, in a dimension of isolation, but almost never choral paradoxically open to the exchange and sharing.
