Treviso and contemporary art. Fact or hypothesis ? This is the question from which to define the importance of a contemporary event in Treviso. Dynamic city plagued by spatial relationships with neighboring Venice , yet away from the vibrations that pass through the artistic reality of today. We believe in the possibility of a fruitful encounter between the two instances , and it is for this reason that we propose , with Contemporary Review , a fixture at annual event . The main objective is to provide the city with a look timely and detailed art today without intent provocative or excessive compromise of a theoretical nature .
Installation modernist ? The idea of an installation that is also modern it must be a cul de sac of criticism. The juxtaposition of the two words can only lead to a widespread condition of chaos . The installation is in fact medium -elect of contemporary, modern is something else. Yet there is widespread in the aestheticization of everyday life and in the ever illuminating proliferation of creative intent , a common principle often overlooked.
In the situation globally recognized no longer has much meaning limits the use of terminology classics, such as the concept of medium or school practice for allocation of a genre or a current art work . And it is partly for this reason that a growing number of artists experimenting abandons tout court to embrace a kind of neo- modernism situational . Situational , as the artist abandons a totalizing vision (and modernist ) to embrace the potential of ephemeral performance and installation perishable and Arte Povera . Concretely, the selected artists in the exhibition project Third contemporary exhibition will be called to pass a physical and mental health following their peculiar aesthetic production , having to pull over or assist works with a surplus graphic , plastic, or sensory generically that can amplify the meaning and reveal the artificial situation recreated .
