Historia Naturalis
Exhibitions, Italy, Modena, 16 September 2011
Man has always used the world as a metaphore of him. The sea, before the invention of the machine, was the only possible vector of cosmic jounrneys. From Ulysses to Magellan. For its extension, dangerousness, depth, the ocean is one of the most used, and well-chosen, figures for the human mind and its knowledge path.
Mirco Denicolò mixes together science, hystory, storytelling and engraving on clay, to think about the borderlines between truth and false, nature and culture, real and fctional. A floating topography, sharp and foggy, where the generative motion of art is located.
