Black & White Ball
Exhibitions, Canada, Toronto, 15 February 2012
A juried exhibition featuring works in black and white.

Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts

The exhibit is inspired by Truman Capote’s 1966, Black and White Ball, held at the Grand Ballroom of New York City's Plaza Hotel. It was considered to be "the most posh event, not just of the year, but also of the decade, and maybe even the century"

Iconic, bitchy, mysterious, elegant...just some of the many adjectives used to describe the event, and the guests. Lets these inspire and engage you...

In conjunction Propeller will be hosting a Black and White reception, on Thursday, February 16 from 7 to 10 PM.

I will be displaying my new piece at the show:

Virtual Emotions 12.1

2012
Ink on paper

As the world of online social media encroaches into our physical world, genuine interaction and emotions are replaced by virtual representations. Do they possess the same power?

This piece is an amalgam of the virtual and physical, combining generative computing techniques with archival ink and paper.
