We have just concluded the 2017 edition of this important event and although we are still running the credits we are already projected for the next edition.
But let's go in order: we are doing the evaluations of this 2017 edition, analyzing the data we gathered during the event, data that will support us confirming the growing trend for an event that is gathering more and more acclaim and enthusiasm both from the artists that take part both from the operators of the sector, thus giving us the desire to believe in this event, which moreover assumes more and more international connotations.
But let's see the data:
The Spoleto Art Festival 2017 had a plus 30 percent increase in exhibitors and the providers who joined it were 98, divided into 54 historical locations in the city of Spoleto, public, private, secular and religious. Over 2,500 artists present, with 2000 journalistic articles published, 30 television stations that made the services (including Rai 1 or a special one of Rai 5), 5 special reports from foreign national TV, over 1000 catalogs sold (distribution A.Mondadori ) to November 15 (figures that not even Bologna Art Fair can afford to boast). 70% of the spaces are already booked for 2018 (28 September - 01 October).
For 2018 the locations will be increased from 54 to 65 with a massive presence of artists, gallery owners and foreign associations. These are mind-boggling numbers that make you understand what the value of this event is and how important it is to participate.
We must, to be honest, attribute most of the merits to the President of the foundation, Prof. Luca Filipponi, who with tenacity and will has transformed this event making it one of the most important events in Italy, as well as to all the staff, Paola Biadetti in the first place that effectively supported him without forgetting Prof. Alessandro Trotti and Sandro Bini. Collaboration is the key to succeeding in any activity, especially in creating such important events, because even an event, however considerable, requires disclosure and communication, and above all because a group of people who share a common goal can reach the impossible ...
